The house
This is the largest house of Domaine Chabanier.
The stone barn, where the farmer’s aid used to have his quarters as well as been
converted into a spacious house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. French doors
open to a large sunny terrace overlooking the fields and shade can be found
under an ancient evergreen next to the well. The ground floor consists of an
open space living with an original alcove, which used to be the kitchen in the
old days. The exposed chestnut beams and the original stonework give the house a
lovely atmosphere. Around the fireplace are comfortable couches and reading
lights. Upstairs are four bedrooms, two of them having a balcony with a
beautiful view. Domaine Chabanier is a large property with 5
houses and a swimming pool on a hill at the end of a dead-end road in the
Corrèze. In 25 hectares of land and forest, meadows with small streams you will
find a wonderful sense of tranquillity.
