Van Gogh is a characteristic French cottage, perched on
a hill in the Dordogne Valley, just 10 minutes from the picturesque town
Argentat. The house was built in 1940 in a typical French way with many
small windows with shutters, a country style kitchen on the ground floor
with French doors to the terrace and a separate sitting room with a
fireplace upstairs. All the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and
tastefully furnished. The large dining table with comfortable chairs
will invite everyone to stay put for hours enjoying sumptuous
home-cooked meals of many local specialities and wines. The oak wood
staircase brings you to the first floor, where a cosy sitting room with
a fire place is the right place for a book, a movie or just a good
conversation. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on this same floor.
Next door to Van Gogh is Monet,
an identical house, but with an extra bed room.
Garden Van Gogh has a fenced terrace with a large linden tree that provides
plenty of shade over the garden table. Steps take you down into the
shared garden with the swings, the boules area, badminton net, table
tennis and the salt water swimming pool. The pool has been safely fenced
off and has loungers, umbrellas and a picnic table on the terrace. If
you need to get out of the sun on your terrace, you can find ample shade
close to the stream, the Glane that flows along the garden into the
river Dordogne just after 100 meters.

drying facilities.
